Fast & Furious: Lowndes County, Ga., Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene of a crash on Highway 84. A tow truck had also arrived — a “rollback” truck with a ramp that lowers to the road level. One deputy was walking toward the tow truck and its driver, who was standing in front of his truck, when a car hit the lowered ramp of the truck at highway speed, blasted through its cab, flipped over in the air, and slammed top-down into another car on the highway 120 feet from the truck. It slid another 23 feet, and the tow truck driver ran for his life. Before the car came to rest, the deputy, whose body camera was running and caught the whole thing, was on his radio to report the second accident and ask for EMS.
