Other Good Reading: Have you ever considered that the voice of Apple’s Siri “personal assistant” is a real person’s voice? And she didn’t know about it. I was the original voice of Siri. Even though Apple used my voice without my knowledge, it's been a fun ride at Business Insider.

Feigned Praise: “You Are Exemplary!!,” praised the London (Ont.) Health Sciences Centre in an email to its staff after the hospital chain achieved “Exemplary Standing” from Accreditation Canada, presumably due to the hard work of that staff. “As a small token of appreciation from the Accreditation Team, all staff members,” the message said, “physicians and volunteers will receive a voucher for a beverage or treat at any Morrison’s location at LHSC ($2.50 value)” (US$1.85). But what of the hospital executives? They weren’t mentioned in the email: President and CEO Jackie Schliefer Taylor received a $250,000 raise, presumably in addition to the $219,168 she got last year. “We get $2.50,” said one staffer, “she gets $250,000. Seems fair.” Just the raises for the 15 top executives total nearly $1 million per year. (RC/London News Today) ...Imagine how much it would have been if they were exemplary.
