Other Good Reading: “Like watching a train wreck!” is one of those telling idioms about disasters that seem to be thrust upon us even though when it happens, out come the “I told ya!” Indeed that is the case for, well, the train wreck in Ohio. It’s an interesting (and ire-inducing) read in Vice from last week: ‘32 Nasty:’ Rail Workers Say They Knew the Train That Derailed in East Palestine Was Dangerous. This is why we need regulatory oversight for big companies, and why they have to have teeth.
