Other Good Reading: Ars Technica reports Google is losing the battle against advertisers who link to malware, so if you search for (say) a word processing program and get an ad for a “Free!” package to download, you could be installing malware. Thus, the publication says, Until further notice, think twice before using Google to download software. There are plenty of places to get FOSS — Free Open Source Software. Go straight to the source rather than clicking an ad.
